“Ask the Doctor” where readers ask questions of  the world renounced general practitioner Dr. Charles V. Fullerton.

Dear Dr. Fullerton:  A woman at work who cuts hair on the side warned me never to cut hair barefoot.  She says that if you step on the freshly cut hair it can get into the pores of your feet and take root.  We were shaving my dog, and I accidentally stepped on dog fur with no shoes on. I don’t want to have hair growing out of my feet. What can I do.  — Foot Fur Fear

Dear Foot Fur:  Your hairdresser is right. Fresh cut hair or fur, can take root into the soles of your feet. Similar to wart therapy, fire is the only cure.  Burn that mother out!
